This is the first Celebrate! person that I’ve never met in person!  That needs to be remedied immediately!  The fact that I don’t know Matt is actually a fun twist on my Celebrate! project.  This project will allow me to meet new people and make new friends!  Not to mention that I am definitely going to be visiting The Chocolate Cafe a LOT more from now on!

Hi, I’m Matt Strauch. I’m the General Manager of the most terrific arts organization in town, Bas Bleu Theatre Company (401 Pine St., Old Town Fort Collins, www.basbleu.org)

What’s your passion?
I love all forms of “the arts” and getting people engaged in the world around them through the magic that is the arts.

What is your “best day ever?”

On a secluded Caribbean beach with my partner Jorge sipping a Pina Colada while thinking of wonderful things to come.

Favorite thing/place/person about Old Town?

Everyone is friendly, the astounding amount of arts groups (including Art Lab) along with the amazing food locations (faves being La Luz, Enzio’s, Austin’s and The Chocolate Café) which are a major part of my work days. You’ve got to try the Chocolate Martini at the Chocolate Café on Martini Mondays. Just $4!
